Thank you ABC team.
Thank you ABC team.
On Sunday we celebrated the baptism of my nephew.
At the church, where he took his name, Konstantinos.
And after that, at a Greek tavern for lunch.
The book of wishes
My sister-in-law took care of everything perfectly.
Welcome Konstantine in our big Orthodox family.

This is a wish we say every day, when we see someone, from the Resurrection of Jesus till Whitsun (Pentikosti, Πεντηκοστή).
Our Pascha begins with the Resurrection on Holy Saturday night.
My family and my parents went to celebrate all together the Resurrection at my sister's home.
But first we made a cross at our front door with the Holy Light (this light comes from Jerousalim, from the Holy Grave of Jesus).
Then i put the Light in my oil lamp.
For the dinner i cooked soup with lamb and lamb with potatoes in the oven.
My mother cooked the tradition magiritsa (with the entrails of the lamb, liver, spleen, etc) and my sister made lamb in the oven in baking paper.

The next day, Sunday of Pascha (Κυριακή του Πάσχα),
we celebrated all together in our garden.
The three men, my hubby, my brother-in-law and my father, set the lamb on the spit at 9 am and they started the spitting.
At 11 am we had a pre-lunch meal for the grillers.
For lunch we ate lamp, kokoretsi, red eggs, greek salad, farm salad, fried potatoes, tsatsiki and we drank wine.
For the tsatsiki you need cucumber, garlic and yogurt.
For dessert we had Olga's birthday cake.
Her birthday was six days ago but we couldn't eat cake then.
So we celebrated her birthday on Sunday.
We finished our lunch at 5:00 pm, we took a bath and the rest of the day we were trying to recover from the food and the weariness.
