Five years ago, during our residence to Florida, we spent a weekend to St.Augustine.
St.Augustine is the first city that the Spanish built up when they came to Florida.
With the conch tour train we saw all the attractions of that beautiful city.
The Fountain of youth
The Ponce De Leon's statue
(Ponce De Leon was the founder of St.Augustine)
The oldest house
The oldest wooden school
The old history museum
(the history from Indians to Spanish)
The government's museum
St.George street
and many many more.
I wish i could show you all of my pictures.
St.Augustine is a fantastic place.
It is very different from the other cities of America.
It's like Europe.
We enjoyed every minute of our residence.

Looks like a lovely place. Perhaps someday I will go there myself.
Now you've drunk at the Fountain of Youth you'll stay young for ever!
Certainly a Step into the past. I believe New Orleons is/was quite European in parts.
This was fun, because I have been thinking, that the USA history is so young compared with Greece or Egypt and now you as Geek are speaking about historical place in USA
Everything depends on it, what point we are watching from :)
This my "Told by photos" blog has never been my first blog.
"Joensuudailyphoto" blog was the first and then I started to collect photos also to Aminus pages, which is now my usual publishing place.

Thanks for sharing your nice photos. Even though I live in Florida, I have'nt been to St Augustine. I've always heard how different it is from the rest of FL.

Oh wow this was VERY interesting, thank you! I use to teach about the Explorers and the Fountain of Youth when I taught 5th grade, so it was intriguing to see these actual places they talk about. :-)

I've never been there. That's for the tour. Sometimes I feel like I could use a little bit of that fountain of youth. I invite you to come see my contribution for S - solar powered Christmas lights. -- Margy
