MY WORLD TUESDAY: A DAY TRIP ON MAY 1st

On May 1st we had a national holiday (labour May Day).

So we took the chance and we went for a day trip with my parents and my sister's family.

We went to Feneos, Peloponisos.

For those who follow my blog, Feneos is a familiar place.

On January 30th, we went there for a three days trip with my hubby's brother and his wife.

Then, the place was full of snow.

But now i have photos from a Spring landscape.

We went to the lake Doxa (λίμνη Δόξα) and to the monastery of St.George (Μονή Αγ.Γεωργίου).

It was a rainy day but many people were there having pic nic and enjoying the view.

Up to the mountains there was a little snow which made the view even more beautiful.

For lunch we went to a Greek tavern and we had pork on the spit, lamb, fried potatoes, sausages, tzatziki, greek salad, all in big quantity.

Unfortunately i don't have any photos from the food because it vanished too fast!

On our way back, we saw cows, green fields, wild flowers, wild waves and blue sky.

The next day, Olga and i went to pick some wild flowers, only a few minutes from home, to make a May wreath.

I made two wreathes, one for my house and another one for my mother's house.

Beautiful spring pictures! And what a great trip to the countryside! I love your picture with the waves and clouds very much! And I want to spend some time in Greece once when the meadows are full of flowers as on your pictures!
Have a nice week, Antigoni, and best greetings!

As lovely in spring as in the snow. It's nice to see a place looking warm and sunny!

By coincidence, I'm eating tzatziki and pita for dinner as I read this and write my comment. There's a market near here that makes it from scratch, and it's quite good.

Very nice day out, but mostly I like the idea of a May wreath made of wild flowers, its so pretty and colourful, it must mean you have a great May.
