MY WORLD TUESDAY: MOTHER'S DAY

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the mothers around the world.
I had thought of so many things to write for this day but something happened and i don't feel very comfortable or happy to say much.
On Sunday, the day began beautifully.
I went to the church and then i visited my mother and my mother in law with flowers, for the mother's day.

My two older girls wrote cards, with the most beautiful words for me and gave me flowers.

But in the afternoon i heard of very sad news.
My godchild's aunt, his mother's sister, died.
She was only 39 years old and she had a daughter 13 years old.
She suffered from cancer the last eight years but we hoped that she'll make it.
But she didn't.
On mother's day, she left this world, leaving her daughter without a mother and her mother without a daughter.
She was a very good person, a great mother, with a big smile, a kind word and a warm heart for everyone.
WE'LL ALL MISS YOU, ATHINA.
to see other places of our world.

Sounds like a great mother's day and I love the photographs of your children. I am so sorry though about the sad news. So hard for children to lose their mother when they are so young.

This is very sad news to hear, that's for sure. Life will be difficult for a 13 year old daughter without her mother.....but she has you, right :)

Your daughters' cards are so beautiful written. Each day with family is precious and I do feel sad for the 13 year old child. Happy Mothers day (late) to a special lady! Thanks for commenting on my blog. I see far too many old, lonely people in my job. Family and friends are so important yet some people live their lives selfishly.

So sad! It really makes us understand that we should appreciate our mothers and daughters and love them like there was no tomorrow! Happy mothers day, even if it's a bit late!

I'm glad you Mother's Day started out so beautifully. And so sorry you lost a friend. It's never easy, but seems even harder when it happens on a holiday.

I was sorry to hear about the loss in your godchild's family. I can understand why that would sadden what is supposed to be a happy day. But it looks as if your daughters treated their mother very well.

I am so sorry to learn of your friend's passing Antigoni, to lose someone at such a young age is doubly sad. We have to count our blessings each and every day and your children are certainly a very special blessing indeed.

Hi antigoni!
Oh,I didn't know other countries' people celebrate mother's day,too.
Actually I thought only in Japan there is mother's day.
I know you're a wonderful mother.
So your children must really thank to you.
I wanna be mother like you:)
