MY WORLD TUESDAY: PAINTING LESSONS

Every Friday, from October till May, the girls take painting lessons.
Last year and this year only my older daughters followed this group but next year Antonia will join the group, too.
At the end of every season, all the students make an exhibition with their work at the city hall.
Most of their paintings are on water colours (akouarela) in a bloc but a few weeks ago they started the painting on a canvass.
They enjoy every minute of these lessons.
And they are real artists.
But i'm their mother and i can't be objective.
Here two of their masterpieces.
Olga's paintings.

Alexandra's paintings.

children's painting I always find beautiful, because it is an expression of what is inside of them!!
As an artist, I think that all our skills begin with that, and it depends on if and what we develop, and keep practicing, what we become later in life: a writer, painter, mathmetician, engineer, pilot, etc.
A parent has sooo much influence on a young mind!

Oh, Antigoni, they are indeed masterpieces! Children can do no less and I can only echo everything that Jeannette has said! As a former teacher I know that skills begin with the expression of what is inside them and what enables that is the love and encouragement from parents. Thank you for sharing the talent and the beauty!

Good for your girls. My partner is the artist I am the photographer. I love watching him paint. Children always have the most imaginative use of colour.

Interesting to see Greece through your daughter's eyes. They are lucky to have parents who will encourage them and provide opportunities like this for them. And as an objective observer I think the paintings are very good. :)

I also like children's paintings, like Jeannette. They are so honest and not afraid to put something on paper or any other material. Thanks for your visit and comment on the concentration camps. I hope you feel better now,

Picasso said : “It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child”. Painting with one's heart, that the most fabulous work of Art, Antigoni.
