MY WORLD TUESDAY: THE BEAUTIFUL PLACE I LIVE IN

Many times before i showed you the place i live in, the beautiful island of Salamina.

I love the way the green of earth unites with the blue of the sea.
On Sunday we went to Kanakia, a place in Salamina, half an hour from our home.
We visited my husband's cousins to their country house.
On our way there, i took photos of some important places in the island.
A view of Salamina from Panorama.

The monastery of St. Nickolas of Lemons (it calls that way because there're a lot of lemon-trees around the monastery).

The old church of St. John the Kalivitis.

The great forest of Kanakia.

I love this island with its beauties and the great history.

That is a beautiful island to live on judging from the photos. The architecture is great and the beach looks inviting on a New Zealand winter morning.

Antigoni, Is there a port where Navy ships can dock there? I'm thinking my daughter mentioned going to Salamina, when she was in the Navy about 20 years ago. I know her ship always stopped somewhere at Greece.
